Highfield Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety (RQF)
The objective of this qualification is to confirm occupational competence and provide learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding required for spectator safety.
Learners will cover the following topics:
Preparing for spectator events
Assisting with the movement of spectators
Dealing with crowd issues at events
Managing and resolving conflicts
Dealing with incidents at spectator events
Supporting the work of the team and organisation
How Long Will It Take to Achieve This Qualification?
The total qualification time is 240 hours, of which 73 hours are recommended as guided learning hours.
How Is the Qualification Assessed?
The mandatory units are assessed through the completion of a portfolio of evidence. The portfolio will also be internally quality-assured by the training centre.
The optional Physical Intervention Skills within the Private Security Industry unit is assessed through:
An externally set and internally assessed true/false examination
An externally set and internally assessed practical assessment
Both assessment components require a 100% pass mark.
